Life After High School™ Board Game

Life After High School Board GamePractice makes perfect when it comes to the Life After High School™ Board Game.

Try managing cell phone minutes, student loans, grocery bills, and having a social life. Will you have a positive balance in your checking account at the end of the game? Will you have enough money left over after you pay your bills to go shopping for a new pair of shoes or attend your favorite sporting event? Anything can happen as you travel though a month’s worth of financial responsibilities!

Life After High School™ is an educational and fun way to explore the financial responsibilities of adulthood in a classroom setting or at home! For 4 players.

Object
As participants move around the game board, they learn about choices that will have an impact on their financial futures: job selection, higher education, residential living choices, car purchases, and monthly expenses.

Contents
Game includes a Life After High School™ vinyl roll-up game board, 4 plastic pawns, game cards, dice, checkbook ledger sheets, and instructions.

Game Play
Participants are assigned a salary, a living situation, and a checking and savings account balance. Some may even have a monthly student loan payment or car payment. As participants move around the game board, they draw game cards that offer financial choices for entertainment, ATM usage, shopping trips, and even birthday money.

Each space on the game board requires an action, such as a deposit, withdrawal, transfer, or delay/compromise of a purchase. The actions are recorded on the checkbook ledger sheets. The player with the largest positive balance at the end of the month is the winner. Discussion of choices allows the players to see how their actions impact their financial situation.
